Original Watercolour Paintings by Sandy Moore

Canadian Watercolour Artist Inspired by Nature, Light & Place

Welcome to the artwork of Sandy Moore, a Canadian watercolour artist with more than 40 years of painting experience. Sandy creates original watercolour paintings inspired by landscapes, nature, light, and the distinctive character of the places that surround us.

Throughout her artistic career, Sandy has explored a variety of mediums, including oil painting, pencil, and commissioned portraiture. Today, her primary focus is watercolour landscape painting, where she combines decades of experience with a deep appreciation for the natural world.

Her paintings capture more than a particular view. Through colour, atmosphere, light, and detail, Sandy seeks to convey the feeling of being in a place — the quiet of a landscape, the warmth of sunlight, the changing seasons, or a moment in nature worth remembering.

A Lifetime of Painting

With more than four decades of experience as an artist, Sandy has developed a diverse background in painting and drawing. Her earlier work included oil painting, pencil artwork, and commissioned portraits, giving her a strong foundation in observation, composition, colour, and technique.

That experience continues to inform her watercolour paintings today. Working primarily in watercolour allows Sandy to explore the qualities of light, transparency, colour, and atmosphere that make the medium uniquely suited to capturing the natural world.

Nature is at the heart of Sandy's work.

Landscapes provide an endless source of inspiration, from the way sunlight changes across a scene to the subtle colours and textures found in the natural environment. Sandy's watercolours are an expression of that appreciation, preserving individual moments and places through paint.
